By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following reliefs as substantial reliefs: "i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent no. 4 - Superintendent of Jail, District Jail, Kasganj to rectify/ refix the monthly salary payable tothe Petitioner from the year 2016 till his superannuation on 31.12.2023 and to calculate the consequential retiral benefits which may accrue in favor of thePetitioner in accordance with the said rectification/ refixation; ii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the Respondent Authorities to release the entire arrears payable to the Petitioner after rectification/ refixation of monthly salary from 2016 till his superannuation on 31.12.2023 and enhanced consequent retiral benefits in favor of the Petitioner;" In the above regard it is stated on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner has made representation dated 08.03.2022 and thereafter, he superannuated on 31.12.2023 but the representation remained undisposed of. Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection in the event this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 4 to look into and consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order strictly in accordance with law. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that respondent no. 4 shall consider the grievance of the petitioner raised in his representation and decide the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Needless to add the order to be passed by the competent authority, as directed herein above, shall be reasoned and speaking one.
