Case was heard on 2.1.2025 and Court has passed following order; "Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for State-respondents. The present writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing the respondents to provide the benefit of 3rd and 4th Special Assured Career Progression to the petitioner which was due on 1.12.2008 and 1.5.2012 after completing 17 years and 24 years of satisfactory service, along with interest. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a recommendation has been made by the Chief Medical Officer but the same has not been given so far. Learned Standing Counsel may seek instructions from respondent nos. 1 and 2 within two weeks. List again as fresh on 20.1.2025." 3. Pursuant to order dated 2.1.2025, learned standing counsel has produced instruction dated 25.02.2025 along with order dated 18.02.2025. The instruction is taken on record. 4. As per instruction, learned standing counsel submitted that petitioner has been granted 17th years ACP w.e.f. 01.12.2008 and 24th years Special ACP w.e.f. 01.05.2012. He next submitted that now relief prayed by the petitioner has already been granted to him, therefore, petition may be dismissed as infructuous. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that ACP has been paid to the petitioner at a very belated stage, therefore, respondent no. 4 may be directed to pay the arrears of ACP within a time bound period along with interest. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 4 to pay the arrears of ACP in terms of order dated 18.02.2025 maximum within period of three months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order along with interest of 6% from due date the date of actual payment.
