The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Bandgaon P.S. Case No. 16 of 2023, corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No.13 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 15(c)/18/25 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa. On 10.04.2023, Bandgaon police on the basis of confidential information, intercepted a motorcycle and pick-up van near Chirkubeda road and apprehended two persons namely Rajan Hessa Purty @ Sohrai and Nara Munda. On search, about 1971.75 Kgs. of poppy husk were recovered from their possession. It was submitted that petitioner was neither arrested at the spot nor anything was recovered from his possession. It was further submitted that name of the petitioner has come in confession of apprehended co-accused persons. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa, in connection with Bandgaon P.S.
