2025:JHHC:15363 1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Contempt Case (Civil) No. 304 of 2024 Ramawati Singh, W/o Anil Kumar Sinha, R/o Village-Lake Road, Noora, PO- Hazaribagh, PS-Sadar, Hazaribagh … Petitioner Versus 1. The State of Jharkhand 2. Sri Nirbhay Kumar, District Land Acquisition Officer, Hazaribagh … … Opposite Parties CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH SHANKAR ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Shailendra Jit, Advocate For the Opposite Party No. 2 : Ms. Rishi Bharati, AC to AAG-III ----- 04/13.06.2025 The present contempt petition has been filed for initiating a contempt proceeding against the contemnors/opposite parties alleging wilful violation of the order dated 10.07.2023 passed in W.P.(C) No. 1448 of 2022. 2. Ms. Rishi Bharati, AC to AAG-III appearing on behalf of the opposite party no. 2, while referring to the order dated 16.03.2024 (Annexure-A to the show cause affidavit dated 01.05.2024) passed by the opposite party no. 2, submits that in compliance of the aforesaid order of this Court, the petitioner’s claim for payment of compensation was considered and the same was rejected, as she was not able to submit the documents with regard to her raiyati identification concerning the land. 3. As against this, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the compensation for Plot No. 05 was already paid to Santosh Kumar Rai i.e., the vendor of part of the land, yet the suitable compensation has been denied to the petitioner on frivolous ground taken in the order dated 16.03.2024. 4. Be that as it may. 2025:JHHC:15363 2 5. Since the opposite party no. 2 has already passed the reasoned order on 16.03.2024, there is no need to further proceed in the contempt petition. The contempt proceeding as against the opposite party no. 2 is hereby dropped. 6. The contempt petition is accordingly disposed of. 7. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to challenge the order dated 16.03.2024 passed by the opposite party no. 2 as permissible under law. (Rajesh Shankar, J.) Manish
