Case No. 19 of 2024, corresponding to POCSO Case No.68 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 376(3), 504, 506 & 452 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4 & 8 of POCSO Act, pending in the court of learned Exclusive Special Judge, POCSO Act, Palamau at Daltonganj. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.7913/2024, by order dated 16.12.2024. On 02.06.2024, petitioner is alleged to have raped the informant. Report regarding the stage of the trial and the time required for its conclusion, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that the trial is at the fag end of its conclusion. Learned Trial Court has reported that the trial will be concluded within four months. Considering the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected. Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within four months from the next date fixed for recording of evidence. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
