This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, wherein the following prayer is made:- "i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the letter dated 10.01.2024 issued by respondent No.2 (Annexure No.1) to this writ petition. ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 19.01.2024 (Annexure No.5) expeditiously within a stipulated time so fixed by this Hon'ble Court." 2. Upon perusal of the writ petition it is clear that the representation of the petitioner was rejected on 19.01.2024, however, the writ petition has been filed in November, 2024. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that by June, 2024 itself, the candidature of third- party has been decided and the Corporation has proceeded, in accordance with law. 4. In light of the fact that the writ petition has been filed belatedly, we do not see any reason to interfere with the actions of the Corporation, at this juncture. 5.
