(POCSO Act) Bemetara, District Bemetara (C.G.) in S.T. No. 26 of 2022, has convicted the appellant for the offence punishable under Section 363 read with Section 34 and 366(a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 04 years and fine amount of Rs. 500/-, in default of payment of fine amount additional rigorous imprisonment for 02 months, rigorous imprisonment for 07 years and fine amount of Rs.500/-, in default of payment of fine amount additional rigorous imprisonment for 02 months and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 20 years and fine amount of Rs. 500/-, in default of payment of fine amount additional rigorous imprisonment for 02 months (all the sentences are to be run concurrently). 2. PUD dated 02.05.2025 has been received from the Trial court. 3. Perusal of the PUD shows that the sole appellant has died on 09.02.2025. 4.
