CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Rajesh Kr. Singh, Advocate. For the State : Mr. Suraj Deo Munda, A.P.P. ----- 06/ 01.07.2025 Heard the parties.
2. This anticipatory bail application under Sections 482 and 484 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has been preferred by the petitioners apprehending their arrest for offences registered under Section 18 of the NDPS Act pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge cum Special Judge NDPS Act, Chatra in connection with Bashistanager PS Case No. 08 of 2025.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the source from which information was received about the fact that the petitioners were cultivating the poppy plant has not been disclosed thus the entire case is false.
4. Learned A.P.P. representing the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that it is not necessary to disclose the name and identity of the informer due to privacy and security reasons.
5. After hearing the parties, I find that there is an allegation against the petitioners that the petitioners were cultivating poppy plant in the forest land. Further, I find much strength in the submission of the learned counsel for the State that it is not necessary to divulge the information about the informer

because of security reasons, thus, this Court finds it not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
6. Accordingly, this Anticipatory Bail Application stands dismissed.
7. The petitioners should appear before the court concerned.
