... Respondents (Cause title is taken from Case Information System) For Petitioners : Shri Abdul Moin Khan, Advocate For State/Respondents : Ms. Akanksha Verma Dabhadker, Panel Lawyer Hon’ble Shri Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad Order on Board 06/03/2025
1. Case of the petitioners is that the petitioners had been working under the respondents authorities as peon/daily wages employees from the year 2022. From January, 2025, under an oral instruction, their services have been discontinued. At present, they have been attached in the office of respondent No.4, but, they have not been given work. Other personnel who were appointed after the petitioners are being given work. Even the wages of the petitioners for the last 21 months have also not been paid to them. 2. The limited grievance that the petitioners have in the instant case is the action on the part of the respondents in discontinuing their services. 3. According to learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners were working as daily wages employees under the respondents and suddenly the services of the petitioners are discontinued. 4.
The only prayer that the petitioners make at this juncture is that if the respondents intend to make appointment and engage daily wages employees, the petitioners be given preferential right and they be continued in their services instead of making fresh appointments. The respondents be directed to
3 take work from the petitioners considering their experience and the length of services rendered by them. 5. The writ petition, at this juncture, is disposed of by directing the respondents authorities to look into the grievance of the petitioners and redress the same by reengaging the petitioners, if the State/respondents intend to get work from daily wages employees. Under such circumstances, services of the petitioners be given due weightage that they have already rendered. 6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Sd/-
