P NARAHARI BABU The Court made the following order: The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are trustees of Balli Katte Erappa Swamy and Siddeshwara Temple situated at Gollahatti Village, Rolla Mandal, SPSR Nellore District. It is submitted by the learned counsel 2 appearing for the petitioners that for past several years’ the possession of the fully decorated deity will be taken throughout the public streets peacefully and reaching the Konkal tank, which is about 3 or 4 miles from the Village. After the holy bath, the deity is brought back to the Konkal tank and the surrounding Villages witnessed the festival. This practice has been ongoing for several decades. However, at the behest of 5th respondent, respondent No.3 is interfering and conducting the possession in a peaceful manner. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the festival is conducted for four days, from 10.03.2025 to 14.03.2025, and seeks a direction as the Writ Petition will become infructuous by tomorrow. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 3. 4. Considering the submissions, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent not to interfere with the customary practices of the temple, which have been conducted for the past several years. 5. The learned Assistant Government Pleader shall inform the concerned Station House Officer by phone about the order passed 3 by this Court and the requirement for the 3rd respondent to comply with the order. 6. Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is disposed off. No order as to costs.
