According to petitioner, he was appointed as Daily Wager in State Public Works Department in the year 1988 and his services were regularised on the post of Beldar in 2016 and he was promoted as Varisht Anurakshak, vide order dated 19.06.2025. 4. Grievance raised by petitioner is that as per his School Leaving Certificate his date of birth is 04.05.1969, however, in his service-book, his date of birth is wrongly recorded as 04.05.1966. 5. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought direction to the Authorities to correct his date of birth. 6. Learned State Counsel raised an objection that date of birth cannot be corrected at the fag end of service. Learned State Counsel, however, submitted that if petitioner makes a representation to the Competent Authority, the same shall be considered, as per law. 7. Since petitioner has already made a representation to the Executive Engineer concerned on 02.09.2020, supported by an affidavit, therefore, Executive 2025:UHC:7958 Engineer concerned is directed to examine the matter and take decision, as per law, within three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
