ORDER:
1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. The petitioner was arraigned as A.3 in Crime No.76 of 2025 of Gannavaram Police Station, Krishna District, registered for the alleged offences under Sections 420, 407, 467, 468, 120b r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. It is alleged in the complaint that the 1®* respondent supplied *
3. gravel for the arrangements of the State function but was not paid for the same. Upon enquiry, it was revealed that the petitioner/A.3 colluded with A.1 and A.2 created false bills under the name 'Babu Enterprises' and received the payments that were meant for the 1®* respondent.
4. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that the police registered a case in Crime No.76 of 2025 on 25.02.2025, and the police need to complete the investigation to ascertain the facts.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no role in the non-payment of the alleged bills.
6. Considering the same, since the punishment for the offences registered against the petitioner is more than 7 years, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the criminali^petition by
w 3 CRL.P. No.2678 OF 2025 directing the Investigation Officer/Station House Officer of Gannavaram Police Station to complete the investigation in Crime No.76 of 2025 without taking any coercive measures against the petitioner/A3. The petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation. However, this would not preclude the Investigation Officer from filing a charge sheet or final report.
7. Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed off.
8. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
