The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with the following prayers:- “(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent no. 4 to decide the Representation dated 22/12/2018 (Annexure No.2) and also direct the respondents to open the Anganwadi centre in Basti Kharala, Village Onalgaon, Post Mokhem, tehsil Pratap Nagar, District Tehri Garhwal. (b) Pass any other writ, order or direction, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the 2025:UHC:402 2 case. (c) Award the cost of the writ petition to the Petitioners.” 2. Heard Mr. Lokendra Dobhal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Devendra Singh Bohra, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 3. Mr. Lokendra Dobhal, Advocate, has contended that in compliance with the Notification dated 12.12.2008, issued by the Government of India, guidelines has been issued for setting up Mini Anganwadi Centers under ICDS Scheme. The petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste Community and there are 25 to 30 families in her village. There is no Anganwadi Center till today in the area of her village. She moved a representation dated 22.12.2018 to the Block Development Officer, Pratap Nagar, District Tehri Garhwal, the respondent no.4. The said representation is still pending. 4. Learned counsel for the State has requested four weeks’ time to decide the said representation. 5. With the consent of learned counsel for both the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.4 to decide the said representation dated 22.12.2018 by a reasoned order as expeditiously as possible, but not later than four 2025:UHC:402 3 weeks’ from the date of production of the certified copy of this order. 6.
