Petitioner’s father retired from the post of Constable (Driver) from U.P. Police in the year 1994 and thereafter he passed away in 2008. Petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking the following relief:- (i) Issue a Writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to stop family pension of respondent no. 4 which she getting alleging herself as wife of late father of petitioner. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer and submits that petitioner be permitted to make fresh representation to the Competent Authority. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make representation to Secretary (Home), Government of U.P., regarding family pension, within two weeks from today. If petitioner makes such representation within stipulated time, the Secretary (Home), Government of U.P. shall take decision on his representation, within eight weeks thereafter.
