(2) According to petitioners, they were engaged as Vocational Teacher/Trainer in a scheme, floated by Government of India, known as ‘Skill India Programme’. As Vocational Teacher, petitioners were asked to train students in different Government Intermediate Colleges. The initial engagement of petitioners was for a term of 11 months and upon expiry of that term, their engagement was extended. The term of all the petitioners has come to an end on 31.8.2025. Petitioners apprehend that they would now be disengaged. (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that scheme under which petitioners were engaged is in existence till 2030, therefore disengagement of petitioners before expiry of the scheme is unjust. (4) Having regard to the facts of the case, writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioners to make a representation to the competent authority. If petitioners make representation to the competent authority within one week from today, decision thereupon shall be taken within ten days thereafter. Till decision is taken, status quo shall be maintained.
