The instant petition arises out of the order/judgment dated 25.07.2025, whereby WP(C) No. 1749/2025 came to be disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 (Deputy Commissioner, Shopian) to consider and decide the petitioner’s representation/complaint dated 10.06.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of passing of the judgment, strictly in accordance with law, after due application of mind, and by affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner, the private respondents, and other stakeholder(s), if any. 2. Compliance report, accompanied by a consideration order dated 01.11.2025, stands filed. In terms of the said consideration order dated 01.11.2025, the representation of the petitioner dated 10.06.2025 has been disposed of as being without merit. The prayer seeking a direction for release of land measuring 4 Kanals 16 Marlas falling under Khasra Nos. 1002 and 1005 at village Zainapora has been rejected. It is further observed that, with regard to the subject land situated at villages Zainapora and Reshipora, the Inquiry Officer shall verify whether any land has been transferred or possession handed over to any person, including the petitioner herein, in violation of the provisions of the Agrarian Reforms Act, 1976 and the Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Immovable Property (Preservation, Protection and Restraint on Distress Sales) Act, 1997, vide order No. DMS/Reader/App/25/129-34 dated 01.11.2025. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the judgment of the learned Writ Court stands complied with by passing a detailed consideration order strictly in accordance with law and rules, and that no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the present petition pending. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the consideration order dated 01.11.2025 is under challenge by way of WP(C) No. 2816/2025. 5. In view of the compliance report filed by the respondents, the proceedings in the present contempt petition are closed, as the order/judgment dated 25.07.2025 stands complied with and the consideration order is challenged by way of WP(C) No. 2816/2025.
