The writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "I- Issue a Writ Order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Respondent no.2, (Commissioner Azamgarh Division Azamgarh) to decide the Appeal No.698 of 2024 "Computerized No.C202415000000698" (Satish Kumar Singh Vs. District Magistrate Ballia) (under section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959) which is pending before the Commissioner Azamgarh District-Azamgarh as early as possible within stipulated period as fixed by the Hon'ble High Court." 4. The appeal of the petitioner is pending consideration before respondent no.2 and a direction be issued for expeditious disposal of the same. 5. Learned Standing Counsel submits that appeal of the petitioner would be decided in a time bound manner. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is hereby provided that the respondent no.2-Commissioner Azamgarh, Division Azamgarh,, District Azamgarh shall decide the Appeal No.698 of 2024, Computerized No.C202415000000698 (Satish Kumar Singh Vs. District Magistrate Ballia), under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959 filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of the order. 7.
