This petition has been filed with the prayer to command respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representations dated 18.10.2024 and 21.10.2024 withing stipulated period. 2. In view of the fact that the petitioners' land has already been acquired for construction of canal, the question as to whether the alignment of canal is straight or otherwise, cannot be gone into at this stage. 3. Even otherwise, these are the aspects to be examined prior to finalization of the project. Once the petitioners' land has been acquired, which is not under challenge, we would not be justified in embarking upon the factual enquiry with regard to alignment of the canal. 4. Leaving it open to the petitioners to assail acquisition proceeding in accordance with law on all permissible grounds, the writ petition is consigned to records.
