The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for quashing the order dated 16.07.2016 issued by the Director of University & Higher Education, Government of Manipur, by which the representation submitted by the petitioner requesting for extending his part time service and to absorb him in government service had been rejected. The authorities have rejected the claim of the petitioner primarily on the ground that the petitioner has already crossed the superannuation age and when the present writ petition was filed the petitioner was already 63 years old. It has also been submitted that during the pendency of the present writ petition, the petitioner has also expired and in his place his son has been brought on record. In my considered view, the nature of relief sought for in the present writ petition cannot be granted at this point of time and there is no point in keeping the present writ petition pending as relief cannot be granted.
