JUSTICE V.SUJATHA CONTEMPT CASE No.760 of 2025 ORDER: This contempt case is filed against the respondents for willful disobedience of the orders passed by this Court in W.P.No.14691 of 2023, dated 06.07.2023. The operative portion of the said order is extracted hereunder: “5.In view of the common order passed by this Court and after hearing the submissions of learned counsel on both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to release total amount of Rs.4,34,549/- to the petitioner within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the petitioner to agitate his claim for interest, if any, payable by the respondents, in an appropriate forum.” 2. Today when the matter came up for hearing, Mr. Y.Balaji, learned counsel representing the contemnors/respondents has furnished a copy of the letter dated 22.08.2025 of the respondent No.5, which indicates that an amount of Rs.2,48,044/- was paid to the petitioner on 22.08.2025 vide reference No.RBI2342562153685 and an amount of Rs.1,86,505/- was paid on the same day i.e. 22.08.2025 vide reference No.RBI2342562153684, which in fact is in pursuance of the orders passed by this Court, which fact was also admitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4 3. As the respondents have released the amounts in favour of the petitioner on 22.08.2025, as directed by this Court, this Court is of the opinion that no contempt lies against the respondents. 4. Recording the same, the Contempt Case is closed, as the respondents have already complied with the orders passed by this Court dated 06.07.2023 in writ petition No.14691 of 2023.
