Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:20658-DB Court No. - 3 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 36734 of 2024 Petitioner :- Devendra Sharma And 2 Others Respondent :- State of U.P. and Another Counsel for Petitioner :- Raghav Dwivedi Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Anjani Kumar Mishra,J. Hon'ble Jayant Banerji,J. Heard counsel for the petitioners and Counsel appearing for the respondents. The writ petition seeks the following relief:- "A) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to mutate the name of the petitioners qua the Subject Property bearing Khasra No. 133, 140, 142, 143, 338, 340, 599, 600 and 781. situated at village Shobhapur, Tehsil and District Meerut; B) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No.2 to decide the Representation/Application dated 15.04.2024 (Annexure No 5 to this writ petition) within a time bound manner." The contention of the counsel for the petitioners is that petitioners have filed their application seeking mutation over the aforesaid plot numbers relying upon the judgment in the second appeal in their favour. Be that as it may, on a query by this Court, the counsel for the petitioners has not been able to state as to whether this application has been numbered. In our considered opinion, a proper application either for mutation or for correction of papers is to be filed by the petitioners. Under the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of leaving it open for the petitioners to file a proper application either for mutation or for correction of papers under relevant provisions of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 within a period of ten days. In case such an application is filed, it is expected that same shall be considered and decided expeditiously and preferably within a period of four months thereafter.
