For Petitioner : Mrs.P.Uma For Respondents : Mr.V.Nanmaran Additional Government Pleader for R1, R3, R4 & R5 Dr.T.Seenivasan Special Government Pleader for R2 O R D E R The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to consider a representation dated 28.10.2024 and remove the obstructions in Tambaram Mudichur Road, Laxmipuram Main Road Junction which causes traffic congestion. 2 / 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Writ Petition No.37198 of 2024 2.A report had been filed on behalf of the 3rd respondent which is as follows: The 3rd Respondent states that as directed by this Hon'ble court, on 06.01.2025, inspection was made by the 3rd respondent's staffs, then found that 1 x 1 meter a petty shop was encroached by a third party, which was located 7.7. meters from center median of Tambaram Mudichur – Sriperumbapathur Main Road, and The storm water drain, with a width of 1.5 meters, is located at the corner of Tambaram Mudichur – Sriperumbathur Main Road, the said shop had been obstructed the flow of water into storm water drain, hence encroached shop was removed by the 3rd Respondent and provided adequate way to flow rainwater into storm water dran and Regarding tree felling, it was located in 8.3 m from the center median of Tambaram Mudichur – Sriperumbathur Main Road and a width of 7.5 meters would be sufficient for the traffic on this road”. 3.Both sides have produced photos in which according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the obstructions are still present and according to the respondents the obstructions have been removed. The issue will have addressed by the respondents.
