JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 30-07-2025 None appears for the petitioners on call. The subject matter of this petition which relates to a direction of payment of compensation is an order dated 15.02.2022 passed in WP(C)/3380/2021. During the pendency of this petition, it appears that there was substantive compliance of the order in question which is reflected in the various orders passed by this Court. On 19.06.2023, this Court had observed that petitioner Page No.# 4/4 nos. 6 to 13 were paid the land compensation and there were some short comings so far as the petitioner nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 were concerned. When the matter had come upon 20.11.2023 none had appeared for the petitioners and Shri D. Nath, learned counsel for the respondents had submitted that except the petitioner no. 3, the claim of the rest of the petitioners were addressed. It was also submitted that the respondent nos. 4 & 5 were directed to approach the Civil Court. As regards the petitioner no. 3, who was directed to furnish the appropriate documents, Shri Nath, the learned counsel has placed before this Court copy of an instruction dated 01.04.2024 with an enclosure which is a letter dated 24.01.2024 issued to the petitioner no. 3. It is however informed that the petitioner no. 3 did not furnish the appropriate documents. This Court is of the opinion that the order in question has been substantially complied with and there are no materials to show that there has been any willful and deliberate disobedience of the order in question. In view of the above, contempt petition stands closed. Instructions dated 01.04.2024 and letter dated 24.01.2024 are being part of the records. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
