PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.89 of 2024 of Moothugudem Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C), of the NDPS, Act. 2. Brief facts of the case are that, on 13.12.2024, on receipt of credible information, the Sub-Inspector of police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Moothugudem Police Station, Chintru Mandal and found the accused in possession of 56 Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 2 3. No representation on behalf of the petitioners. 4. Heard learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 5. The petitioners herein were arrested on 13.12.2024 and since then he has been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 56Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. When ascertained, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
