Mr. P.T.Sangma, learned counsel for the petitioner on receipt of the affidavit filed by the State respondents, has submitted that the writ petitioner accepts the statements indicating the amount due, given at para 10 of the affidavit. He therefore, prays that the matter may be closed at this stage itself. 2. Ms. I.Lyngwa, learned GA appearing for the State respondents has submitted that though the writ petitioner had claimed ₹74,64,200/- (Rupees Seventy-four lakhs, sixty-four thousand and two hundred) only, the total value of the Formal Work Orders issued to the writ petitioner is only of ₹59,10,723/- (Rupees Fifty-nine lakhs, ten thousand, seven hundred and swenty-three) only. However, she submits that the writ petition may be closed if the writ petitioner is willing to accept the amount as fixed by the State respondents as given in the affidavit. 3. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the affidavit, especially para 10 which is reproduced herein below: “10. That with regard to the averments made at paragraph 8 of the writ petition, the answering deponent states that the total bill of the petitioner as claimed by him does not amount to ₹74,64,200.00 2025:MLHC:192 3 (Rupees Seventy four lakhs, sixty-four thousand and two hundred) only. This amount is the sanctioned amount for the construction of Akemgre Water Supply Scheme (WSS) under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The total value of the Formal Work Orders issued to the petitioner is ₹59,10,723.00 (Rupees Fifty-nine lakhs, ten thousand seven hundred twenty-three) only, out of which, the petitioner have received the payment for : I. Construction of C.C.Weir amount to ₹2,83,400.00 (Rupees Two Lakhs eighty three thousand four hundred) only. II. Laying of 65mm dia Gravity Main pipeline amount to ₹16,01,500.00 (Rupees Sixteen lakh one thousand five hundred) only, and III. Laying of Distribution System pipeline amount to ₹14,72,500.00 (Rupees Fourteen lakh seventy-two thousand five hundred) only. Altogether the total payment received by the petitioner is ₹33,57,400.00 (Rupees Thirty-three lakhs Fifty-seven thousand four hundred) only. The remaining balance amount is ₹25,53,323.00 (Rupees Twenty-five lakhs Fifty-three thousand three hundred twenty-three) only.” 4. As the writ petitioner is prepared to accept the amount as laid out in the said para aforementioned, the instant writ petition is closed and disposed of. It is expected that the amount be cleared most expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from today.
