This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent nos. 3 &4 to decide the application dated 24.9.2024 for correct the wrong entry on the revenue record (Khatauni) of the Arazi No. 286 ग vide order dated 7.12.2022 within a specific period which may be fixed by this Hon'ble court." It is contended that application under Section 38 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 is pending consideration before respondent no.2-Sub Divisional Officer. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is to expeditiously decide the said application. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending or issuing notice to the private respondents, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent no.2- Chief Revenue Officer, Prayagraj to decide application filed under section 38 of U.P. Revenue Code 2006, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
