This petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "(a) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent No.3 to pay the 12 % interest or as fixed by this Hon'ble Court on the late payment of post retirement benefit, amount of 14,07,977=00 rupees in the interest of justice." 3. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a representation dated 03.06.2024 has been filed by the petitioner before the Police Commissioner, Lucknow regarding payment of interest, which is still pending. 4. Learned Standing Counsel states that the decision can be taken by the Competent Authority. 5. It is, therefore, directed that the Police Commissioner, Lucknow or Competent Authority, as the case may be, take a decision on the aforesaid representation of the petitioner dated 03.06.2024 by means of a speaking order, expeditiously and preferably within a period of one month from the date of submission of a certified copy of the instant order before the competent authority along with another copy of the representation that has been enclosed as Annexure No.6 to the writ petition. 6.
