PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner herein, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.73 of 2024 of Moothugudem Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2)(b) of the BNS and Section 20(b)(ii)(C) read with 8(c) of the NDPS, Act. 2. Brief facts of the case are that, on 16.10.2024, the Sub Inspector of police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Daralamma Thalli Temple, Outskirts of Polluru Village, and caught the accused in possession of 2kgs of Liquid Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 2 4. The petitioner herein was arrested on 16.10.2024 and since then he has been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 2kgs of Liquid Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
