Petitioner was appointed as Assistant Teacher (L.T. Grade) in a Government Aided Institution, namely, Moolraj Kanya Collge, Ramnagar Roorkee, District Haridwar vide order dated 20.06.2001. The post of Headmistress fell vacant in the said college on 31.03.2019 and petitioner was given charge of officiating Headmistress, as she was the senior most Assistant Teacher (L.T. Grade). 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding/directing the respondents to give promotion to the petitioner on the post of “Downgrade Head Mistress” in Moolraj Kanya Inter College, Ramnagar, Roorkee, District Haridwar (Uttarakhand)in view of government order dated 28.10.2020 (Annexure No. 11) and the scheme provided in Uttarakhand School Education Board (First Amendment) Regulation, 2011. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that petitioner has approached this Court directly without making any representation to the Competent 2025:UHC:5849-DB Authority. 6. We, therefore, dispose of the writ petition with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the Competent Authority. If petitioner makes such representation within two weeks from today, the Competent Authority shall look into the matter and take decision, as per law, within three months from the date of receipt of such representation along with certified copy of this order.
