Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 2. This writ petition has been filed for the following relief: "a) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS directing to respondent authorities to complete the auction proceeding for fishery lease in regard to pond No. 43 area 2.0990 hectares situates in Gram Sabha Dharsan, Pargana and Tehsil-Sagari, District-Azamgarh as purview of the Rule-58 of the U.P. Revenue Code Rules, 2016 and Section 61 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006; within stipulated period which should be fixed by this Hon'ble High Court;" 3. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that notice for auction of fisheries right was published in the year 2022 but no auction has taken place. 4. The petitioner has no right to compel the State to hold auction, he has only the right to participate in the auction, if any, is held. 5. The petition has no merits and is accordingly, dismissed.
