Petitioner’s case is that:- 2(i). Petitioner’s father died in harness on 09.01.1996. At the time of death, petitioner’s father was serving as Stone Cutter on daily wage basis in respondent-HPPWD. Petitioner’s mother did not apply herself for the compassionate employment and submitted an application on 14.05.1998 that on account of her ill health, she was unable 1Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? Yes -2- to serve, but she had no objection in case her son (present petitioner) is given compassionate employment on his attaining the age of majority. 2(ii). Petitioner is 8th pass. On attaining the age of majority, he submitted an application for compassionate appointment on 12.07.2004. Petitioner’s contention is that his case file has gone back and forth from different offices, however, till date he has not been communicated any decision of his application seeking compassionate employment. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner invited attention to letter dated 10.03.2025 (Annexure P-15) and submits that case of the petitioner has not been decided as yet, even though his case was recommended for the post of Peon by the Administrative Department. 4. In view of limited grievance of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2/competent authority to consider the case of the petitioner for employment on compassionate ground in -3- accordance with law within a period of six weeks from today. The order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
