Petitioner is a member of Palika Centralised Service and is serving as Tax Superintendent in Municipal Corporation, Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (i) Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for officiating charge/promotion on the post of Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad/Nagar Panchayat or Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that much junior persons, and even persons who are not member of Palika Centralised Service, have been given officiating charge of Executive Officer and also as Assistant Municipal Commissioner, however, claim of the petitioner has been completely overlooked. 5. Since petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus without making any representation, therefore, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met, if petitioner is permitted to make 2025:UHC:7438 representation to Director, Urban Development, Uttarakhand. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make representation to Director, Urban Development. If petitioner makes such representation within two weeks from today, Director shall look into the matter and take appropriate decision, as per law, within three months thereafter.
