PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner herein/A1, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.370 of 2024 of Kothapet Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(B) and 22(c) of the NDPS, Act. 2. Brief facts of the case are that, on 17.10.2024, on receipt of credible information, the Inspector of Police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Potthurivarithota 5th lane, NTR Statue, Guntur, and caught the accused in possession of 66.26 grams of MDMA. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 2 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 4. The petitioner herein was arrested on 17.10.2024 and since then he has been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 66.26 grams of MDMA, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
