The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the BNSS, is filed on behalf of the petitioner herein/A1 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.785 of 2024 of Proddatur Rural Police Station, Kadapa District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 118(1) read with 3(5) of the BNS. 2. Case of the prosecution in brief is that on 11.12.2024, at about 6.00pm, A1 along with other accused attacked the defacto complainant. A1 dealt a blow with iron rod and caused bleeding injury on the head of the defacto complainant. A2 to A5 pelted stones on the defacto complainant and caused dumb injuries all over his body. Wife of the defacto complainant witnessed the same and went to rescue, then the A6 caught the tuft and dragged and beat with hands and on witnessing the same, one Venkataramana tried to rescue the defacto complainant and

his wife and all the accused were beat him also with stones caused dumb injuries on his right flank and later the complainant went to Government hospital, Proddatur for treatment. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that A2 and A3 in the present crime were already enlarged on regular bail, A4 and A6 were granted anticipatory bail. This is a case and counter case, based on the complaint made by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.286 of 2024 has been registered against the defacto complainant and others. Learned counsel for the petitioner further would submit that by this time most of the investigation might have been completed and further would submit that on 12.12.2024 the petitioner has appeared for RRB examination at Tirupati and hence, he prays this Court to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.
Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor vehemently opposed the prayer of the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail on the ground that there are specific allegations made against the petitioner herein and investigation is at crucial stage and it is pending for examination of some more witnesses. 3

Considering the submissions made and on perusal of the material on record, it is alleged against the petitioner herein is that he has attacked the complainant party by using iron rod and there are specific allegations made against the petitioner herein. In the light of the stage of investigation and also the severity of the allegations made against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner herein. 7. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________________________
