Questioning the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner in R.No.8694/E1/2016 dated 29.08.2016, it had been informed on behalf of the respondents that the disciplinary proceedings initiated under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Disciplinary and Appeal) Rules, 1973 had been dropped by the respondents. Therefore, the issue raised in this writ petition no longer survives for further adjudication. 3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
