Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the State. 2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 2 to 4 in C.C. No. 536 of 2017 pending on the file of the III Metropolitan Magistrate, Vijayawada, for its speedy disposal. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the crime was registered in the year 2016, and the police filed the charge sheet before the learned Magistrate in the year 2017. The learned Magistrate has taken the charge sheet on its file in C.C. No. 536 of 2017. 4. The prayer in the writ petition includes a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate to expedite the trial and ensure its speedy disposal and that the inaction on the part of respondents 2 to 4 causing the delay in the disposal of the case. 5. As seen from the annexures, there is no documentary evidence to establish that there is a lapse on the part of respondents 2 to 4 in getting the C.C. disposed of in a speedy manner. That apart, once the police have completed their investigation and filed the charge 3 sheet, the matter lies before the concerned Court. It is for the Court to take all the steps to dispose off the C.C., on its merit. 6. On these grounds, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed at the stage of admission. No costs. 7.
