Asst. Public Prosecutor The Court made the following order: 1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were arraigned as A.2 and A.3 in Crime No.88 of 2024 of Mahila UPS, Tirupati District, for the alleged offences under Sections 85, 318(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 3. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioners are the in-laws of the 2nd respondent. The marriage of the 2nd respondent and A.1 (the -2- CRL.P. No.2533 OF 2025 son of the petitioners) was solemnized on 19.11.2020. It is further submitted that the petitioners never stayed with the 2nd respondent and A.1. On account of certain marital disputes, the 2nd respondent filed a complaint against the petitioners and her husband/A.1. The petitioners have no role in the commission of the alleged offence and they were falsely implicated in the complaint. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the investigating officer has already issued a notice under 41-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. 5. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the Station House Officer, Mahila UPS, Tirupati District, is directed to comply with the provisions of law, duly taking into consideration of the explanation submitted by the petitioners in connection with crime No.88 of 2024 on the file of Mahila UPS, Tirupati District. 6. With these observations, the criminal petition is disposed off. 7. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH. N BV
