HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD HABEAS CORPUS WRIT PETITION No. - 915 of 2025 Court No. - 88 HON'BLE VINOD DIWAKAR, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material available on record. 2. The present petition has been filed by petitioner no.2 on behalf of petitioner no.1 (the corpus), seeking a direction to respondent no.4 for the production of the corpus before this Court. 3. It is alleged that petitioner no.1 has been illegally detained by her father (respondent no.4). In support of this contention, reliance has been placed on a mark-sheet purportedly indicating the age of the corpus, and the photographs annexed with the petition. Although there is an averment that the petitioners have solemnized their marriage in a temple, no credible or admissible documentary evidence has been placed on record to substantiate the claim of a valid marriage. 4. In the given circumstances, this Court does not find sufficient material to warrant interference in exercise of its extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India as the custody of the corpus with her father cannot be terms as illegal detention. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition, being devoid of merit, stands dismissed. October 9, 2025 Anil K. Sharma Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Sunil Kumar Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : G.A.
