This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner, a practising Advocate before this Court, seeking to question the eligibility of respondent no.7 for State Teacher Award - 2021. 2. Submissions have been made that respondent no.7 has been awarded the State Award for which she was not eligible and therefore, the same be inquired into and respondent no.7 be stripped of the said Award. 3. A perusal of the record indicates that the petitioner is a practising Advocate at Prayagraj, and except for claiming that petition has been filed for social cause and for protection of government exchequer, not a word has been indicated as to in what manner, the petitioner has any concern with the subject matter of the present PIL. 4. Filing of PILs based on the newspaper reports, without having any real concern qua public interest, cannot be countenanced. The present petition suffers from the said defect and therefore, the same cannot be entertained. 5. The petition is therefore, dismissed.
