Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents. 2. The petitioner has come up in the present petition with a sole prayer that a direction be issued to the respondent no.2-Competent Authority, Urban Ceiling/Additional District Magistrate, Bareilly to decide the application dated 19.06.2025 in Case No.172/12/81 filed by him for abatement of ceiling proceedings within a time bound period. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent no.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without adverting into the merits of the case, we dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.2-Competent Authority, Urban Ceiling/Additional District Magistrate, Bareilly to decide the application of the petitioner dated 19.06.2025 in Case No.172/12/81 pending before him expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties in accordance with law.
