By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:-
“a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the respondents to release the sanctioned amount of Rs.2,70,05,619/- (Two Crore Seventy Lakh Five Thousand Six Hundred Nineteen Only) and amount of Rs.3,28,43,281/- (Three Crore Twenty-eight Lacs Forty-three Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty-one) in favour of the petitioner for the work done by him. b) Direct the respondents to pay interest on the delayed payment at an appropriate rate from the date the payment became due until the date of actual payment.”
2. When the case was listed on 21.05.2025, the following order was passed:-

“Learned Additional Advocate General submits that as per the instructions which have been received from Executive Engineer, B&R Division HPPWD, Joginder Nagar, the balance amount, which is payable to the contractor is Rs.3,19,260/- however, this amount is to be adjusted against recovery of Rs.15,00,000/- which is to be effected from the petitioner by the respondents. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that let this be put on record by way of an affidavit. Learned Additional Advocate General submits that two weeks’ time be granted to do the needful. List on 25.06.2025.”

Today when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the light of the fact that the case of the petitioner is already before the redressal Committee, interest of justice would be served in case the Committee is directed to take a call thereupon within some reasonable period and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 4. In the light of the prayer so made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the redressal Committee shall dispose of the matter of the petitioner within a period of three weeks from today and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
