The Court made the following order:
The petitioner claims that he is the absolute owner and possessor of the land, admeasuring an extent of Ac.2.37 cents in Sy.No.535/2B, situated at Orvakal Village and Mandal, Kurnool District. It is the case of the petitioner that the subject land was classified as dotted land in the revenue records. It is his further case that, he filed application before the Committee constituted under the Andhra Pradesh Dotted lands (Updation in Re- Settlement Register) Rules, 2017 seeking to mutate his name over the subject land. The said application was processed, and a report was called for from the 5th respondent-The Mandal Revenue Officer. In pursuance thereof, the 5th respondent submitted a report dated 05.11.2021 to the 3rd respondent, and the said authority recommended the case of the petitioner for deletion of the subject land from dotted lands. Thereafter, a list was prepared so as to place before the Committee to take appropriate action and the same is pending consideration before the Committee. It is further stated that, despite report dated 05.11.2021, the respondents have not taken any action in the matter, questioning the same, the petitioner approached this Court by way of filing the present writ petition. 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue would submit that the application filed by the petitioner is pending consideration, and appropriate order will be passed on the same in due course. 3. Taking into consideration of the submissions made by both the learned counsel, this Court feels that it is appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law, within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner. 4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
