HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 3073 of 2025 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J.
1. This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to decide the application dated 22.01.2025 within stipulated time.
2. Allegations have been made pertaining to compensation paid pertaining to the land acquired.
3. Submissions have been made that though someone else was entitled for compensation, the same has been paid to someone else and therefore, an enquiry in this regard be conducted.
4. A perusal of the record indicates that except for making allegations without any supporting documents, enquiry is sought to be conducted with the aid from an order passed in a public interest litigation.
5. Apparently, in case the land belongs to someone else and compensation has been paid to someone else, the person who has been deprived of the compensation would only have the cause and filing of a PIL for the said purpose, cannot be countenanced.
6. The petition is therefore, dismissed. October 6, 2025 AHA/Jyotsana Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Shiv Narayan Pandey, Pramod Kumar Tripathi Counsel for Respondent(s) : Ankit Gaur (S.C.)
