Mr. Dinesh Gahatori, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Naryan Dutt, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. According to petitioner, he is serving as Driver in Revenue Department, Uttarkashi since 2002. However, his services are not being regularised and he is being paid daily wage, instead of regular salary. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the Competent Authority to regularise his service on the post of Driver. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that other similarly situate persons, who had served for lesser period than the petitioner, have been regularised on the post of Driver in 2014 and petitioner is yet to be regularised, even after completing nearly 23 years of service. 6. Learned State Counsel submits that petitioner has made a representation to District Magistrate, Uttarkaashi, which is enclosed as Annexure 9 to the writ petition, therefore, the District Magistrate be asked to look into the matter. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner be permitted to 2025:UHC:7437 make fresh representation. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make fresh representation to District Magistrate, Uttarkashi. If petitioner makes such representation within two weeks from today, District Magistrate shall examine claim of the petitioner, and if need be constitute Regularisation Committee, as per applicable Rules and pass necessary order, as per law, within four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
