According to the petitioner, the petitioner is a homemaker and her relatives are settled at abroad and the petitioner intends to travel abroad to visit them. Already the petitioner had a passport and the same was expired on
14.08.2024. Hence in order to travel abroad, the petitioner, again applied for a passport through application on 02.07.2025, however, the same has not been considered, hence seeking to consider the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 3. Per contra, the learned counsel appearing for the 1 st respondent as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the 2 nd respondent would contend that sufficient time may be granted to consider the representation of the petitioner. 5. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court hereby directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's Passport Application in Application Reference No.(ARN) 25-1055522549 dated 02.07.2025 on merits and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
