Heard Sri Awadhesh Kumar Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel for the State respondent nos. 1 to 5 and Sri Sudhir Bharti for the respondent no. 6. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent no. 2 i.e. Additional Commissioner (Judicial), Gorakhpur Division, Gorakhpur to decide the Appeal No. 1843 of 2024 Computerized Case No. C202405000001843 "Shabbir Ahmed Vs. District Magistrate, Maharajganj and others, under Section 27(3) of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1947" filed by the respondent no.7. The petitioner is the complainant in the said case and he is not a party in the aforesaid appeal. Petitioner submits that he has moved an application on 3.2.2025 in the aforesaid appeal for being impleaded as an opposite party. The said application is still pending. In view of the relief claimed in the writ petition, this writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the impleadment application filed by the petitioner, within a period of four weeks, from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order and shall ensure that the appeal itself is decided within a reasonable period, in accordance with law, if there is no other legal impediment.
