Petitioner is aggrieved by an order of the respondent rejecting claim for payment of compensation under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojna vide order dated 27.7.2024. The claim for compensation apparently has been rejected as the death is not found covered under the scheme. Perusal of the record would indicate that the death of the deceased occurred due to cardio respiratory arrest on account of elocution at Sopara, District Palghar, State Maharashtra. The death, therefore, has not occurred within the limits of the State of Uttar Pradesh. The claim for compensation in terms of the scheme can be in respect of the accident occurred within the State of Uttar Pradesh. The compensation would be payable if the claim is otherwise covered under the scheme. We do not find any error in the decision of the respondents to reject the claim in a case where death on account of accident has not occurred within the State of Uttar Pradesh. No interference in the writ petition, accordingly, is called for. The writ petition fails and is dismissed.
