Heard Sri Shobh Nath Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. The present writ petition has been filed for a direction upon respondent no.3 to release the firearm of the petitioner pursuant to order of the District Magistrate, Ghazipur dated 7.11.2024. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that pursuant to the order of the District Magistrate, Ghazipur dated 7.11.2024, the arm licence of the petitioner bearing License No.4507 was restored after quashing the notice dated 30.1.2027. Pursuant to the aforesaid order, the petitioner moved an application before the Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur on 29.8.2025, however, till date his arm has not been released. In view of the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon respondent no.3 to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 29.8.2025 in light of the order of the respondent no.2 dated 7.11.2024, within a period of six weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.
