JUSTICE ANUP JAIRAM BHAMBHANI O R D E R % 07.03.2025 CRL.M.(BAIL) 519/2025 By way of the present petition filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, the petitioner seeks extension of bail granted vide order dated 20.02.2025. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, that upon release from custody on 27.02.2025, he has consulted the doctors for his medical condition. Counsel submits, that vide prescription dated 04.03.2025 issued by the attending doctor at Chawla Medical and Surgical Centre, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, the petitioner has been advised surgery for his back, which is scheduled on 12.03.2025. A copy of that prescription alongwith other medical documents is appended to the application. This is a digitally signed order. Mr. Jain submits that the petitioner’s interim bail granted vide order dated 20.02.2025 expires on 12.03.2025 and he is required to surrender on 13.03.2025. 4. Issue notice. 5. Mr. Tarang Srivastva, learned APP appears for the State on advance copy; accepts notice; and seeks time to verify the medical documents and file a status report. 6. Let status report be filed on or before the next date; with copy to the opposing counsel. 7. Re-notify on 20th March 2025. 8. The interim bail granted vide order dated 20.02.2025 is extended till the next date of hearing. 9. Furthermore, it is directed that if the surgery is not conducted on 12.03.2025 as stated to be scheduled, or within 03 days thereafter, the petitioner shall surrender back to custody forthwith. 10. In the meantime, if the Investigating Officer finds anything remiss in the medical records appended to the present application, he is directed to bring that to the attention of this court.
