This writ petition has been filed praying for the following reliefs: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned First Information Report dated 30.09.2023 registered as Case Crime No. 0375 of 2023, under Section 3(1) U.P.Gangster and Anti Social Activities Prevention Act, 1986, Police Station- Prem Nagar, District- Jhansi (Annexure No. 1 to this writ petition). (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to arrest or harass the petitioner in pursuance of impugned First Information Report." 3. At the very outset, learned AGA-I on the instructions states in the instant case, charge-sheet has been forwarded to the competent court on 4.9.2024. As such, cause for filing of the writ petition no more survives. 4. Confronted with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is not inclined to press the writ petition. However, leave may be accorded to press appropriate relief under B.N.S.S./Cr.P.C. 5. Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid leave.
